2016 – 18th November: Jim Wilson Presentation, O’Meara’s Pub, Main Street, Ballinacurra

Jim Wilson gave a presentation about Edward Bransfield at the premier of a short armature film production (12 minutes) based loosely on his later years of his life created by a group known as the Midleton Monday Night Club over the previous three years. This even took place at O’Meara’s Pub, Main Street, Ballinacurra.

2016 – 25th October: Michael Smith Presentation, Midleton Park Hotel

Michael Smith gave a presentationin about Edward Bransfield the Midleton Park Hotel. This event was used to launch our project.

2015 – 21st November: Remembering Edward Bransfield Facebook Group Created

Remembering Edward Bransfield Facebook group was setup. Around the same time Jim Wilson and Eugene Furlong were talking about Antarctica. Both agreed that Edward Bransfield more than deserved a lot more recognition and maybe a monument. Contacts were made and our idea blossomed.
